George Capon Guitar Lessons
Online guitar lessons for kids (ages 10+)
Structured weekly lessons for complete beginners — built around clear goals, steady progress, and confidence on the instrument.
Who these lessons are for
These lessons are designed for kids aged 10+ who are starting from scratch (or have tried a little and feel stuck). If you're looking for calm, structured one-to-one support — rather than random YouTube learning — you're in the right place.
- Complete beginners who want a clear path
- Kids who enjoy music but need structure to stay consistent
- Parents who want weekly progress and accountability
- Suitable for both acoustic and electric guitar
How the lessons work
Lessons are taught one-to-one over Zoom. Each week we focus on a few clear priorities — solid technique, the right songs, and a simple practice plan. The aim is steady progress without feeling overwhelmed.
- Weekly slot: a fixed weekly time in my timetable
- Clear direction: what to practise, and why
- Confidence-first: steady wins that keep motivation high
- Parents kept in the loop: optional updates and guidance
Why online lessons work well for kids
Online lessons are focused, convenient, and surprisingly effective — especially for beginners. Screen-sharing makes it easy to use tabs, diagrams, and backing tracks, and parents avoid the hassle of travel.
- No travel time (easier to stay consistent)
- One-to-one attention throughout
- Simple resources and clear weekly targets
- Comfort of learning at home
What you'll need
- A guitar (acoustic or electric)
- A tuner (phone app is fine)
- Stable internet + a quiet space
- A laptop/desktop is ideal, but a tablet can work
Pricing & monthly payment
Lessons are paid monthly, in advance. Payment reserves your child's weekly slot in my timetable and keeps progress consistent.

FAQ
What age is best to start?
I recommend ages 10+ for online lessons, as it's usually easier to build focus, technique and consistency at that stage — but it depends on the child.
Do you teach complete beginners?
Yes — most kids I teach start from scratch. The lessons are structured so they always know what to practice and what to focus on next.
How much practice is needed?
Consistency matters more than long sessions. I'll recommend a simple weekly target that fits your routine and keeps progress moving.
What if we miss a lesson?
I can sometimes reschedule within the same week if there's space, but missed lessons can't be refunded or carried over. The monthly payment is for reserving the weekly slot.
What style of music do you teach?
Mostly pop, rock, blues and folk — and we'll work around what your child enjoys, while keeping the foundations strong.
